Intimacy Uncovered was created for the conversations most people were never taught how to have — the ones whispered in shame, buried in silence, or avoided altogether.

We believe sex isn’t the problem.
Disconnection is.

Trauma is.

Founded by Stephanie Specht, Intimacy Uncovered exists at the intersection of sexual health, mental health, and real-life experience. This platform was built from lived truth, professional education, and nearly a decade of working with individuals and couples who were told their struggles were “normal,” “in their head,” or simply something to endure.

Here, your story matters.
This isn’t about quick fixes, shame-based advice, or performative empowerment. Instead, Intimacy Uncovered creates space for education, curiosity, self-trust, and reconnection — with your body, your voice, and your relationships.

There’s been a lot of conversation lately about “strangers in your home.”
And while that narrative may make sense for some models — it doesn’t reflect how I work, or

who I am.

I don’t walk into homes as a stranger.
And my clients don’t invite strangers in.

I build relationships.

For over seven years, I’ve worked in the intimacy space by leading with trust, respect, and connection. I’ve laughed with my clients, cried with them, supported them through hard seasons, celebrated their growth, and honored their boundaries.These aren’t transactions — they’re relationships. And that distinction matters.

When I host in-home gatherings, events, or private experiences, it’s done my way:

The women and couples I work with aren’t just clients — they’re people I genuinely care about. We create bonds, not sales pitches. We create safe spaces, not awkward rooms. And we create experiences rooted in education, empowerment, and respect.

Today, I’m grateful to operate under Intimacy Uncovered LLC, with the freedom to set my own standards and show up authentically. I’m deeply grateful for the knowledge I’ve gained, the confidence I’ve built, and the people who have walked alongside me — the ones I’ve helped, and the many who have helped me in return.

This work has always been about connection.
About community.
About showing up human first.

And that’s something I will never compromise.

Where Intimacy Became Purpose

I didn’t plan for this to become my life’s work.

Seven years ago, I entered the intimacy space through Pure Romance — curious, open-minded, and never imagining it would turn into a full-fledged career, a college degree, or a calling rooted in both education and lived experience. I simply followed what felt right. And when you find something you truly love, things have a way of falling into place.

What started as a side path became a purpose.

Over the years, this work grew alongside me. I grew through it. I learned, taught, listened, held space, celebrated wins, and walked with people through some of their most vulnerable moments. Intimacy became more than products or parties — it became connection, healing, and truth.

In January 2025, I reached out to a dear friend for guidance as I began shaping a long-term vision — a five-year plan for what I wanted this work to become. That five-year plan turned into five months… then five weeks. Sometimes the universe accelerates things before we’re ready — or maybe right when we are.

In June, when Pure Romance announced the closure of the consultant program, I remember sitting on my office floor, surrounded by six years of memories. Six years of dedication, education, grief, growth, pain, and love. I felt angry. I felt hurt. I felt betrayed. For two years, we were told everything was fine — and then suddenly, it wasn’t.

And still — I hold gratitude.

Pure Romance gave me my footing. It gave me experience, confidence, relationships, friendships, memories, and a foundation I will always respect. I wouldn’t be where I am without it — and that matters.

But gratitude and betrayal can exist at the same time.

What that moment forced me to realize was this:
I didn’t have to rush anymore.

This is my business now.
My world.
My pace.
My energy.

For the first time, I allowed myself the grace to rebuild — not out of fear, but out of intention. To stop proving.

To stop chasing. To start creating.

I am once again rising from the ground up — with new products, a new website, a new clothing and lingerie line, new experiences, and new ways to connect. Not fast. Not forced. But thoughtfully, patiently, and honestly.

Everything I do comes from lived experience — things I’ve walked through, questioned, healed from, and learned to speak about openly. Because I know I’m not alone. And I know others are craving spaces where truth is welcomed, not silenced.

This isn’t just a business to me.
It’s a reflection of growth.
Of resilience.
Of choosing to build something that finally feels like home.
